Ellie May's Pub, Dunadry, Co Antrim
Sat 17th December
The excellent local bluegrass band will be playing and holding a collection from roughly 3pm until 8pm.
These guys raised £500 pounds plus for Children in Need over a short time period so go for festive drinks, dig deep and help the horses.
Requests for equestrian-related tunes welcome :)

Sounds like a great idea (if only I was anywhere near!)

Songs -

Crazy horses!

Owner of a lonely heart (I always used to think they sang horse  :D )

Lone ranger?!

Champion the wonder horse

Not black beauty, unless you want some tears?

The olympia one?

I'll be posting some stuff to them tomorrow - some little bits and hopefully some rugs if they are clean and not too horrendously old

Ah come on, you irishsters sings loads of songs, at least half of them must be about horses surely?

or should that be to be sure?! :D

Rugs are bagged, just go to figure out how to post them - they're in a rug bag - will a bin liner on top do the trick?!

just a wee reminder to all those, who may, and those who would be prepared to travel, the fundraiser for Crosskennan (albeit very low key) at Ellie Mays pub, Dunadry any time between 3pm and whatever tomorrow, Saturday 17th, by kind permission of Ray the landlord....come and get warm and have a drink, and listen to good music, hopefully we are going to have the one and only Janet Henry coming for a few hours tomorrow...if you have not heard of her, you will be doubly pleased.....

Lovely wee evening, sorry I couldn't have stayed all night (had to take the dog home!!!)
Brilliant band, lovely venue, will be back next week for Christmas Eve drinkies!

On a more serious note, if anyone can spare a hand, Crosskennan are now desperate for volunteers, they have almost 100 horses to care for - people without horses of their own (to prevent x-contamination) are particularly desired, if they could help out with the quarantined animals, it would free up the regular team to care for the horses on site, it is taking almost half an hour on either side of duties to suit up and then de-contaminate.
