Does anyone own a set of Lister Stablemate clippers, i know they are an old clipper that are no longer manufactured, but if any of you have them, what type of clips do you use them for and how do you find them.

Thanks in advance

The name has changed to the Liberty and the colour has changed a few times as well as the shape and size of the battery pack but otherwise they are still the same clippers. I have used mine for every type of clip and even managed two full clips on one charge. OK they were reclips and not first ones.

I have two pairs of stablemate clippers (black and yellow), they are mains powered, not battery. You can do whatever clip you want with them. One pair of mine I have had for 20 years and they have never gone wrong.

Yes mine are mains powered, black and yellow, i was just wondering if it was worth buying a new set of blades and having them serviced rather than shelling out on a new pair of clippers.

Mine are also well over 20yrs old and still going strong! I recommend a service and new blades or resharpen those you have. They're quite noisy tho' so hope your horse is ok!

I have these clippers, had them about 12/13yrs (never serviced, oops!) they are yellow/orange and run off a battery pack I wear round my waist. Fab clippers, can't fault them, mine are v quiet compared to mains powered clippers!! I use them for all types of clip over the years, all off to a chaser clip!

Great thank you for your replies, that settles it then i shall have them serviced and buy a new set of blades, no rush as i won't be clipping this year.
