What are your experiences?

These clippers are fantastic. I clip my horse all year round (every two weeks) and my set have lasted more than three years so far. They're also lovely and quiet - before I got them my horse had to be sedated, now he's happy for me to clip even his face without it.

I have the Lister Neon, which Iam sure is the old version of the Lister Star. Had mine years and they are excellent, they are lightweight and dont vibrate too hard therefore ok for the sensative horses. If you look after them, have them serviced at the end of every year they will last a long time. As for cant do a full clip what a load of c**p. When I was a groom for a master in Leicestershire, I did 4 horses. The bosses clippers were ancient, dangerous and gave me electric shocks! and he wouldnt get them fixed(his attitude was"Youre only the groom it doesnt matter!!) So I used my own Lister Neons and did 40 clips that season and they were still good for more, had them serviced and they are still going strong. Only thing I would say is always use the proper Lister clipper oil, they hate WD40.
