right, honeys saddle is driving me crazy and effecting my riding loads, as she is so unevenly muscled behind the saddle moves and sits to one side, which obviosly throws me off balance especially when she spooks and jumping, i think this is why i come off so often. my riding instructer totally agrees with me.im going to get the physio out but that isnt really going to sort it apart from the pain if there is any, is it

so im not totally sure what i could do, so any suggestion on what i could do is much appreciated

ok so how much does it cost for a saddler to come out, also has anyone got anyphone numbers for a saddler round my area ( west Yorkshire)

although my saddle was fitted correctly by a qualified fitter not so long back ?

Will prob cost less than the physio and may be able to alter you current saddle to fit. Don't know any your way but check out yellow pages or master saddlers web site or ask round as to who is recommended.

There are three reasons why your saddle may go to one side; firstly the saddle is twisted and/or doesn't fit; secondly your horse may have uneven muscle development (dropping a hip for example) which causes the saddle to move; and thirdly you may not sit squarely on the saddle due to asymmetrical muscles etc.
Depending on which one you think it is you need to get a saddler to check fit, get a vet/qualified physio to check your horse for soundness and muscle development problems, and finally get an osteopath and/or instructor to check your position in the saddle and your muscle development.

right thankyou for that my instructer says my position is ok and the saddle tips with her too, so do i get saddle fitter 1st or physio

Get a saddler first as I would have thought that its the incorrectly fitting saddle thats causing muscle wastage. Where abouts in west yorks are you I might be able to reccommend someone?
