After four weeks box rest he went back into work today! :D :D :D :D

As there is a big hill in the field, he has to be kept stabled for another week, but he can be ridden out, slowly building up time and gaits :D.

Today was ten minutes walk... We are assuming that 'walk' allows for the Spanish Walk, a touch of Airs Above the Ground, a Damn Impressive Cat Leap (followed swiftly by a Let's Punch the Air with Our Front Hooves - which nicely got D1 back into the saddle :D), and Some General Shenanigans of the There-is-a-Pony-Eating-Bag variety.

Daughter and Little Cob both very happy indeed :D

But all cobs are quiet and boring and suitable for a novice?

Was he something like this ---->

(but not green!!)

Yup - someone suggested the other day that I sell my young Dutch Warmblood and buy a nice steady cob instead - I blanched and got back on my DWB and felt so much safer rofl.

As to the green, D1 was looking fairly green lol. I had put a hat and gloves on, and I'm damn glad I did lol. The daft loon (he can't half shift, and he gets good air!) :D.

Thank you LW :)

M - oh yes :D. I had visions of them taking off into the early morning haze! As it was, some arful drive sped round the bend onto the lane, straight into the sun - good chance that if we weren't lit up like beleisher(sp!) beacons we would have been squidged :(

I just love the glint in his eye! I;ve got a an older, blacker, hogged and trimmed and altogether more devious version at home. A friend at our yard calls it 'Having a touch of the cobs'. How right she is.

Tying up? You might need to tie your kangaroo down sport after that performance today as that's quite a Skippy impression :D - but good to hear he's feeling full of beans :) Bet your daughter is just so pleased to be back on board.

T - you are so right lol

MD - I did feel guilty for 'letting' him do it (had visions of vet breathing down my neck lol), but didn't have much choice lol :D. Considering how long he's been in, we had to let him off :D. Daughter is ecstatic :D. She was grinning so much I didn't even have the heart to have a go when she had my phone and I had to go back for it (after setting off for work lol) - just that huge grin :D
