As you're not really aloud to advertise on here.. i'll only give a hint..

but the 'thing' that everyone seems to want at the mo. but there's a waitlist for it... well there's one for sale on ebay at the mo, 6days ish to go on it..

happy guessing..

PS, if people don't like this post, then tell admin to get rid of it, as i have nothing to gain from it!!

now that would be telling...

what have all the new eventing members been asking after alot recently.. to which everyones reply has been, no you wont find one second hand, as there's even a wait list to buy one new...

quite frankly for that much money i would prefer to get a breastplate that didnt need the powder puffs under it to stop it rubbing!! bid away i will do without!

I think its a fad - its amazing how many years people have managed to make do with 2 breastplates and not having any problems.

Have to say i bought one for Ernie

you say people have coped for years with two brestplates, but he wasn't, his saddle was forever ending up on his arse!!
With the Kolibri on not only does it not slip back at all, but i don't have to do my girth up to strangling point either, so he can actually breath!!

For awkward horses like Ernie i think they really are great, but i don't think half the horses that do wear them actually need them!! ie Squeak wont be wearing it, simply cos he doesn't need to!!

Eventers are getting worse than SJs/Dressage riders - they have 3 phases to indulge in which gives endless more possibilities for spending. I think actually the eventers are the worst for buying the latest trend.

I have the SJ version of it because when i bought my devoucoux they were on offer and one came with the saddle!! The eventers one looked too big on my horse so they let me have an SJ one, we were uber cool last season as only me and james davenport had them as they were still not "launched" no doubt every one will have them now as they were in H&H SJ feature last week!!

sw123's is very very nice! Your horse looked fab in it and you were original! Just think of all the followers you will get now sw123- your horse will be a fashion icon!

Now I am worried as would hate to think I was an eventing shopaholic!
But I do not have matching colours, only 2 saddles, do not warm up in white boots, do not wear tubi grip under boots, do not put grease on for PN, Have nothing with my name on it.
But i do have 3 hats - though I usually only take my beagler and skull as SJ one is for BSJA and RC.

but does your horse wear a white tail bandage when warming up for dressage?

Who would ever use a white tail bandage surely that is pointless? It will never stay white.

Not sure if I am eventing fashion victim or not:

You see I wear tubi grip under boots but for practical reasons! (am I forgiven cos my horse is jumping very big fences?) I am a victim of warming up in white boots

- but they were an xmas present from Grandpa so they are now lucky boots. I don't put grease on but do for 3DE's (above 2*) mmm have 4 hats... top hat, beagler, SJ hat and skull cap.... definitley dont have anything with my name on! Have 2 saddles, 3 bridles,

Don't and never will have a devoucoux breast plate, Although wouldn't rule out ever getting a saddle from them. ummmm thats it!

I've completly avoided buying one because they are ridiculously expensive and I'm sorry but they are being bought simply as a fashion accessory...however, interesting to hear what you say MDM as my boy has odd withers and has to wear a breastplate and breastgirth to prevent any movement. Even though his saddle is fitted correctly... and like you say I do sometimes feel that I am wrenching his girth up pretty tight sometimes! If its made that much of a difference for your boy might work for mine ??
