Little missing patches of hair??

One of my jennies has small penny and 2p sized patches of bald skin. They are not dry and flaky but its like she has pulled the hair clean out. She has very flaky skin on her shoulders and above her tail/back area. I thought that the flaky skin may be down to bedding so I changed it but still seems to be flaky.

These patches have increased over the weekend.

So what could it be and how should I treat?? I've treated for lice so not lice!! and taking poo for worm count on monday..

keeping worms and lice out of it for now what other things could it be??? help!!

Any chance she could have caught Ringworm?

Your vet would do a skin scrape to see what is going on if you are sure it cannot be lice--from memory you need to treat twice approx a fortnight apart.

Mine has this, I personally think its ring worm, Sadly not enough sun to fix it! so will be on the phone to vet to see if there is a cream. How ever my other pony i have doesnt have ring worm, and does have this

latley discovered under the masses of fur he has its mites? Have a good search just encase. x

On a real good inspection I have found the smaller lice ( chewing lice? ) I used coopers insect repellent which treats lice and flies etc but obviously not the chewy ones.
I will probs have a vet out for a lice shot and then get disinfecting the stable and brushes and all...

Damn lice!!!! Grrrr!!!
