Evening!

I run the riding club at the school I teach at - have 8 students I take for weekly lessons at a nearby RDA centre. None of them have their own horses but most of them live and breathe horses!

I have finished the lessons for the year, and have got a prize-giving slot in assembly next week.

They are already getting a rosette for the SJ competition yesterday, and a personalised certificate (most helpful, outstanding progress etc.)

Any ideas for little pressies for them? I was thinking lead ropes/hoofpicks etc but they don't have their own horses :(

Any better ideas?

Many thanks in advance :)

Nice coloured gloves or socks?
Sparkly whip?
Hat silk?
I shall have a think and see if I can be a bit more inventive

You could try get hat silks in the club colours or with names or initials on, a young girl near us has her initials on hers. Or named hat bags and boot bags to keep their stuff in. :)

Do you have pics of them riding? If so a nice framed picture of you riding your fave horse is something that brings back good memories for years, even if they don't keep on riding outside of school.

How about something like a hi-viz hat-band for them - they come in loads of colours these days so you get one in their favourite colours rather than all the same:)

Hi Rebel - got your PM but can't reply. I'll have a look - sounds great :)

The plait sounds good as well but they don't really have favourite horses as such - they ride whichever the instructor wants them on to stop them getting too used to one! Good thought though :)

If you have photos of them riding could you get them a mug with the photo on the side?

Also a good idea to give them a "horse treat" for them to feed to the horse next time they see it, Polos for example!!

Personalised Hi Viz?

Horse shoe ear-rings for the girls if they have pierced ears? or horsey jewellery?

The mugs are a great plan - I looked into this but going to take more than a week. Christmas pressie idea though :)

I bought 8 pairs of magic gloves in bright colours today - one pair each so at least they get something.

The polo idea is brill as well. They might be less tempted to eat a carrot though!!!

Thanks for all your help guys xxx
