the vet phoned me and said it really wasnt anything to panic about and that he will be coming back in two weeks to check him out again, but i just worry and think that it might help if i could be doing somthing for him in the mean time

Hi Jodie,

My mare currently has raised liver enzymes she has ahd them since before christmas, but her liver function tests have come back ok. She was going to go in for a biopsy on Thursday but have now decided to wait a couple more weeks. My vet advised me to feed milk thistle and a B vitamin supplent currently i'm using dodson and horrell B-sure. Global herbs restore is also very good to give them a boost. The liver is very good at 'mending' itself too.
Let us know how you get on. x

If I remember correctly friend was given Thistle Milk suppliment for liver probs due to ragwort damage (someone can correct if wrong)but that was prior to the multitude of suppliments available now which may prove better.
