Hi all - I'm not posted before but felt I should give a little history of mine and my sisters horse liver issues as there seems to be a lot of problems this year! We are on a small yard ( been there since May) and share a paddock. Sisters horse had a couple episodes of colic and severe weight/condition loss in October. After blood tests and liver biopsy she was diagnosed with hepatitis. She was given antibiotics/ supplement/milk thistle/low protein diet. In November my boy also lost a lot of weight/condition. After blood test he was diagnosed with liver damage ?cause. Given hepatosyl/milk thistle/low protein diet. The have both had several blood tests which show that they are both within normal limits. Weight and condition slowly returning which I think will naturally improve when back out on spring grass!!
