liver probs

Has anyone had liver probs had blood tests they arn't high vet said my boy just tired after long season hunting he stopped jumping didn't wan't to know (not like him) he's 8 giving him equisup and total rest for 3 months he looks well and is fit as a fiddle !! just like your thoughts and any info, thanks.

my boy has just recovered from a mild liver condidtion, he had a change in enzymes, lost loads of weight in a short space of time, really depressed, corse coat and really not himself.

did the vet say he has got a liver problem? i feed mine milk thistle it regenates the live, im also getting a 10 day detox thing from my physio to see if that speeds things up a bit. not sure what its called though.

Where do you get milk thistle from and what do's it do, thanks.

i got it from my local feed store, mind you it was hard to find someone that sold it, the one i buy is made by dodson and horrell, its suppose to regenerate the liver

There have been a couple of liver posts lately on here, my mare had raised Gamma enzymes, she went in for a biopsy a couple of weeks ago but the sample wasn't good enough so going back next week. I gave her global herb Restore, liquid form, which is a form of detox, now she has milk thistle, i buythe seeds from herbal shop as they are supposed to be slighlty stronger but both Hilton herbs and dodson & horrell do it. Dodson also do a supplement called Bsure that my vet recommended or any other Bvitamin. We still haven't found the cause for the raised enzymes. My mare just went very dull and lethargic so i had some blood tests done and a full count.

Thankyou all ,my boy just on Equisup which I assume is to do what your medication is doing Ive never had trouble like this thank goodness the season is over now and he's off for 3 months to recoupe again hope thats all it is as I said in other post he came from Ireland and you don't know what he's eaten in the past ie; Ragwort !!. Also he's been on Topspec for quite a while now I wonder if you can overdose on this!!!
