Hi there

Does anyone know of any liveries around the Clandon (Surrey) area? I have a friend who is moving to Guildford shortly and is desperately looking for DIY livery close by. I didn't have much luck finding any for my horsey so thought someone on here may know of one

There is a yard called Blakes Lane Farm in East Clandon. It has individual turnout and internal boxes and only offers DIY livery. Although a farm yard the liveries keep it very clean and set high standards. There are quite a few rules regarding cleaning up and turnout, but it is straight onto a little lane with 2 bridlepaths and a license can be bought to ride on Woolgars Farm. The school has to be paid for in addition and isn't a great surface and does get busy in the mornings/evening. If you are interested I don't have the contact details of the lady who owns the place but one of the liveries Heather usually deals with enquires and she is there 10am - 12 most mornings if you pop in (farm is on Blake Lane which is parallel to A246 between West Horsley and East Clandon)

I think I know the one. If its the one I'm thinking of they are a very down to earth bunch there but the riding isn't too great as I think they have to cross a main road (depends on the horse I suppose). I wasn't aware they did DIY there but sounds good option and closer to Guildford if they do. Blakes Lane has good riding but turnout is just that - turnout - as grazing is not good with lots of rabbits or underwater! Good luck with your search
