For ages now i have been meaning to try Wood pellets as i hate straw but was throwing money away with shavings and paper.
I was very cautious as i have heard so much bad stuff about LWP- delivery, product and customer service.

I finally bit the bullet and would like to say how fantastic they are!
The order was easy and straight forward, the people i emailed for info were very very helpful.
I had to ring them as i was called into work the day i thought they would deliver- No problem. In fact the guy i spoke to was so friendly we ended up joking about my job- he was lovely.
The delivery people were fantastic- very helpful on the phone and within ONE MINUTE of their delivery time estimate.
I love the pellets, the bags are small and really easy to lug around- my stable was soooo easy to muck out this morning and smells really nice and fresh. I took quarter of a barrow out compared to at least 1 or 2 barrow fulls.
My only regret is not trying them last winter- I would highly recommend this company and its product.

I used White Horse WP last winter and hated it. now ive gone back to a mix of bed max and cusion bed, lovely deep thick bed, i altenate weekly between shavings and cusion bed, quite cheap too :D

The White Horse ones are shocking (from experience), they break down to something akin to cement dust so I'm not surprised you hated it. I've just spent an hour stacking my pallet load of Aquamax in the corner of my feed room. I know they're a bit more pricey but after four years and, despite trying a few other brands, I will not be swayed ;)

used them to start with but must say service was bad moved to corley but they have picked up in the last 8 months and now i am back using them again x

I'm an Aquamax fan too- they might seem a bit more pricey but you use a relatively small quantity and they are very good.

Sounds like LWP have picked up on the criticism and made changes to their business model - well done them for moving with the times!

I use them mixed in with shavings in the winter, the odd bag just to absorb the rising damp that is a perennial problem in our barn. They are fantastic (on a par if not better than Aquamax for what I need). They make my messy boy's bed so nice and fluffy!

Yep, I use LWP too, great.

Quick few questions - I'm interested in how others do it on rubber matting - How many bags do you all use to start up a bed? Do you bank up the sides? How deep do you have it?Do you push the bed back during the day?
