My lovely pony is coming home soon from loan :D and I'm panicking about livery.

Does anyone know of livery/farms/fields etc to rent around the Aberdare area :) facilities needed would be turnout during the day at least, stable and field or half decent manege to ride in :) I know of the yards down Ponty/Cardiff way but I have a 40mile commute everyday so would rather something v.near where I live. Thank you

there used to be a place in Cwmbach, as you go from mountain ash towards aberdare you come to the little roundabout, go straight over into Cwmbach then turn right up into the housing estate, i can't remember the street you turn off on but it's up the back of the estate, i'm sure if you have a drive around you will see it, it's a little farm. i don't know if the owner is still doing livery as i was there about 7yrs ago.

there's also a place/farm in hirwaun, again it's tucked away over the old railway line.

or failing that you can try asking at dare park, the riding school. they used to do livery but again that was a few years ago.

good luck though.

aw that's brilliant thank you :D, can see Cmwbach from my house lol so that would be perfect, sure i'd find it in the car..I know the estate and pretty sure I know where you're on about. I viewed Dare Valley once but they only do full livery which is a shame :(

Im in Cwmbach and there is a farm up the hill behind the royal oak which a friend kept horses on about ten years ago so not sure if they still do it? But the hacking is fab cos u got the old line and also abernant forestry and lots of other places to wander. Theres also a farm at the top of blaenantygroes road which may have livery. Greenmeadow riding school also have liveries so thats worth a try but i kno thats for sale so not sure if that would cause any problems if it was sold while you were a livery there. Hope this helps
