Livery and shops in Sevenoaks and surrounding area?

Hi, if anyone is familiar with the Sevenoaks area, could you recommend any DIY livery yards (or if there are any you'd definitely not recommend, PM if you prefer), tack shops, feed merchants or anywhere that's worth looking for adverts etc?

We have just moved, and need to bring my girl over as soon as we find somewhere to put her, but don't know the area at all.

Also, any thoughts on the various riding clubs?

Hi there

A good place to start are the 2 Riding Clubs:

Sevenoaks RC: www.sevenoaksrc.co.uk and Bradbourne: www.bradbourneriding.co.uk.

Local Tack /feed shops are Tanyard Farm in Tonbridge, Frogpool Manor in Chislehurst..... Broadfeed in Tunbridge Wells, oh, and Udimore Feed and Saddlery, in Sevenoaks. Here's the address, they might be able to help:

I'm in Sevenoaks RC but don't actually live there so my knowledge of the livery yards in the area is pretty non existent!

Other than that, the Freebie magazines like Pegasus and Horsemart have livery yard adverts in, and you can pic those mags up from any of the above tack/feed stores.
 
Never been but there is Stidolphs at sevenoaks weald which is meant to be good, plus lockskinners farm which has a xc course. There is also someone who is always advertising on horsemart, which makes me wary why they always have vacancies!

I think I posted to you before about tack shops...did you go anywhere nice for lunch in the end!? x
 
Welcome to Sevenoaks. I am not a local person myself so I might not be the best person to reply. Possible yards: Woodlands (Kemsing) & Stidolph's (Weald). My yard is great but full with a waiting list. Try Frogpool, Speedgate, Tanyard's for advetisements. Frogpool have adverts on their website. Pegasus magazine is worth a look as well (free from tackshops etc). I belong to Sevenoaks RC which is great. They organise hunter trials, dressage and SJ shows in Spring/Summer plus clinics. Hope this helps
 
I'm at stidolphs in weald although i'm not sure if they have any space at the moment. There is bradbourne too but i don't know if they do livery. I haven't lived here that long so i'm not sure where else there is.

We are moving ourselves this week (got keys at the weekend, but we're waiting til we have at least a mattress to sleep on) and then going to bring Star over once we're sorted, so should have a bit of time to find somewhere, but won't have internet for a while.

Alsxx - we ended up stuck behind an accident so very late and scoffing sandwiches in Tesco carpark in the end - so didn't get to try any of your suggestions
