livery Birmingham

What are his work commitments.
Is travel easy for him
Does he want full livery
Can he afford full livery
Has he time enthusiasm & transport for DIY
Unlikely to be facilities of any kind in centre of Birmingham.
Impossible to advise without any information whatsoever.

I guess it depends if he has transport and how far he is willing to travel really. I have lived in Birmingham and surrounding areas for a few years now, however my main knowledge is around the south Birmingham area. There are plenty of livery yards around Solihull/Alvechurch/Barnt Green/North Warwickshire areas, but I've never heard of any yards that would be less than a 20-30 minute drive from the city centre.

Probably the closest I know of is on Trueman's Heath Lane, near Hollywood and Shirley. That is still a 20 minute drive though! And the yard isnt great either, I had a couple of riding lessons there (doubles up as a riding school as well as a livery yard) and I wasnt a fan of the yard or the people there so I moved on quite quickly.

My share horse is now kept in Chadwick End (in between Warwick and Solihull), there are plenty of yards near by but that would be about a 30-45 minute drive out of the city centre.

Unless he doesnt mind a fair old drive, maybe he could wait until he moves out of the city and closer to the less populated areas around Birmingham where the horses are!

I haven't lived in Bham for years, but I used to ride out near Woodgate, it is still prob 20/30 mins, but there is some nice hacking round there?
This is prob no use but I thought I would chuck my twopennorth in....

Swallowfields, Lapworth. Railway line goes past the yard. Station is a 10 minute walk from yard.

Fab facilities, walker, indoor/outdoor school and regular unaff and aff comps.

They have a website.

I live 5 mins from City Centre and withing 15 minutes drive there are LOADS of yards - tell him to look in the Aldridge/Barr Beacon/Sutton Coldfield area.
