Location : North Hampshire/Berkshire border

Turnout Time :Summer Winter . . . pretty much whenever you want although I don't think anyone turns out overnight

Facilities : large floodlit and well-surfaced outdoor school with viewing gallery (harrowed once a week by owner), set of showjumps, individual padlocked tack lockers in locked/alarmed tack room, kitchen facilities, loo, locked/alarmed hay barn with individual feed bays, locked rug room, wash down area, large stables, turnout, gallops, picnic area, trailer/lorry park (locked), direct access to Forestry Commission land for hacking (no road work) and access to cross country jumps built by the local hunt

Hidden Extras : bedding, hay, feed - owner supplies straw for £20/month (all you can use) and hay (large bales at £55 each), other feed and bedding must be organized/ordered in by liveries . . . also grazing isn't great in the winter so we put hay in the fields (which obviously costs more)

Cost per month : £170 . . . no charge for lorry/trailer parking

Extras . . . one of the liveries is an instructor and organizes regular group jump lessons - very low key, great fun . . . visiting instructors run clinics (including Tracey Lawson) and liveries organize regular group days out with horsebox sharing (e.g. West Wittering Beach for a good blast with the horses)

Hiya,
I'll tell you what little I know as I'm not in that part of Cyprus :)
It's run by a British woman called Caroline, they participate in all the major competitions in Cyprus (there aren't many, but enough for the small set of riders on the island.)
Someone I know has just moved their horses from another stables to George's, which tells me it must be good as it's a good 3 hour round trip from their house to the stables.
I think they have a small tack shop, which is also a bonus as its basically impossible to get any horsey equipment here unless you order from the UK.
I can't really give much more info, as I don't know much about it. I think the liveries are cheaper than the one I quoted above as pafos is a cheaper part of Cyprus than I am in.
I hope that helps and I'm not just Repeating things you already know
:)

Qru, Would that be Caroline Grossmith who runs "rideincyprus"? Anyway I am so very envious of you. I really cannot wait to get out there. I love the island and the riding is really lovely. Thank you for your reply every bit of information i get will help me make an informed choice nearer the time.

So lucky to have found this yard, as livery on the Quantocks is very rare. Also, it is right behind my house so no driving to get there, and I can see my horse in his field from my house :) :)

Location - Cornwall

Turnout time - Summer 24/7 and winter 24/7 (when i first arrived i was given a big 4acre field just to myself but Gem didn't like being in her own field - even though she could see the others - so she quite promptly popped the 5ft hedge. Livery yard owners said If i liked i could leave her in with them but as soon as i was un happy about anything (her being in with 3 others or the amount of grass) i could move her back into the other field with one of there's for company.

Facilities - Outdoor floodlit sand school, big airy stables, secure and roomy tack room/feed room, hay store, 1 full set of bsja show jumps and 1 full set of rustic working hunter jumps, dressage markers and arena, fantastic hacking - 3 local beaches, a green/common to ride across, lots of hill work. All fields are properly post + rail fenced and with good grass, hay on site at £3 a bale. Owners live on site and check 3 times a day.

Hidden extra's - Y/O brings in/turns out and feeds every morning free of charge if i'm stuck and cannot get over there.

Cost per month - £80 (plus hay and bedding - but the shelter out in the fields is brilliant so i don't tend to stable very often.)
