So, just been nosey really, but what do you all pay, and what do you get for your money? Do you think you are getting good value for money?

At the moment I pay £25 a week for stable and grazing (no grass though) turnout/ bring in is £1 each way, which includes feeding if the feed is made up. I pay for haylage and straw on top. I think haylage is 10p a KG and straw is £2 a bale (haven't got a bill to hand

We have an all weather arena and AMAZING hacking inc XC. Poor storage at the yard though (no tack).

This works out at nearly £50 a week for me over winter with 1 turnout a day. I used to pay £70 a week for full livery, which concidering what I got was better value for money.
 
I pay £215 a month now for part livery (horses turned out, brought in, rugs changed, horses fed), I have to pay extra for hay and straw (hay £4 a bale, straw £2.20). There is a really good outdoor school, pretty good hacking and good storage. If I need full livery it is £5 a day or £7 a day at weekends. The grazing is good but there isn't enough of it so the horses aren't turned out enough for my liking.
 
I pay £30 a week for stable and grazing, including straw. Grazing is ok in summer - not sure about winter yet though - there seem to be a lot of horses on a limited amount of land so we'll see! Bring in t/o £1 each, use of menage (surface isn't great), reasonable off road hacking but you have to ride down busy A road to get to it. My horse is rubbish on busy roads so it's not much use to me. I like the yard though and the people are nice. All in al lI think it is pretty good VFM.
 
We currently pay nothing..it's our own land but before in DIY livery we paid 12.50 per week (cheapest in the area) with i think 8 per month extra for a trailer
 
I pay £130pm for (DIY) stable (although atm mine are out 24/7) and grazing, all fields have field shelters in, the grazing is good atm (not at all over grazed) but i haven't been there for a winter yet! full use of manage which has only been done a few months, hacking isn't great but then i don't need it as i have a retired mare and 14week old foal!! small x-c course,
t/o is £1.50 inc changing rugs & feeding in am, Hay we get our own in but the y/o has just cut some, straw is ad-lib for £15.00 per month, (we have the really big bales) i also know that the will charge £8.00 pw for ad lib hay in the fields during the winter and although i keep my Lorry at another yard near Mouse it costs £5 pw to keep it there, the yard security is very good. storage isn't great and the tack room, well i wouldn't leave my tack in it althought the security is good. There is also a small tea room and bathroom
When Spyro is weaned i will have one on DIY and one on grass livery which is £65.00pm. which in this area is very good
the people are lovely it's quite a small yard with just a few people, ive not been there for long (nearlly 3months) but so far so good

I think that the most important factor is location, which has a MASSIVE effect on prices. I think this really needs to be taken into account when comparing prices.

I don't mean just the location in terms of the hacking country nearby, but also in terms of geographically nationally. eg, the M4 corridor up to the Cotswolds is all very expensive because its all full livery, often for weekend riders from London. Therefore, there is a limited number of yards that do DIY etc, thus demand is higher and owners can charge more for their DIY packages too.
 
i pay £65 pcm for stable, grazing, menage, XC course & fields to ride on. Storage is ok, we have a secure tack room, locked storage area (communal) for rugs, feed etc & YO is pretty good, i have a 2 wheeled carriage that she lets me store in the hay barn & free lorry/trailer parking!

we pay extra for hay/straw which costs per bale
- £1.50 straw
- £2.50 hay
which is good as you only pay for what you need/use

we have 24/7 grazing from May-end of Oct (weather dep) & winter turnout (horse out for 1/2 day-every day or all day-every other day) from around Dec-April.

We have to put hay out in fields during the winter, which can be from your own supply or you can pay £1.50 a week for 1/2slice large bale hay for when your horse goes out (but this is put in 1 big pile every night & is more like 1st come 1st served which is why i dont do that!)

i think it costs £1 each way for turrnout but horse needs to be ready i think (dont use so not sure).
 
I pay £130 a month during the summer and thats grazing (B is out 24/7 in the summer) stable, ad lib straw, indoor school, outdoor jumping paddock with set of five jumps (although there are only three down there at the mo as two are in the indoor school) secure tackroom, lighting in stable barn and school (and lights being up up outside) hard standing, small xc course (that will eventually be extended)

In the winter its £151 and thats for all of the above plus ad lib haylage or hay (or mix if you want)

Turn out or bring in is £2 and that includes changeing rugs and feeding if feeds are made up.

Mucking out is £4

days full livery (which is turnout, bring in, rugs changed, feed, mucked out and feet picked out) is £7 I think

and holding for the vet or farrier is £5 I think.

My YO also sells feed and supliments so for someone like me who doesnt drive its great as I get it all off her! (and they get it wholesale price so its cheaper than going to the horsey shop!)

They will also trailer to shows/days out (using there trailer) for a minimal fee (so far its been free for me!!)

I love my yard, I think its great value for money although not the cheapest yard I've been on but its got the best facilities. Everyone on the yard is really nice and we all get on well together and hack out together, there is not one bitchy person there! We have great hacking which can be compleatly off road (once you cross the very quiet lane the yard is on) and you can just ride for miles and miles across the hills!

Fields are great too, lots of them and lots of grass, but they have a lami/fatty paddock (that B is in) but its a good size just well grazed down.

Only down side is the fields are a 10 min walk down a hill from the yard (but thats hopefully going to change soon!! Or at least some of them will change)

The yard has only been open nearly a year so there is still a lot going on, more stables being built etc.

I love it and B loves it, I'd never move!!

I pay £15pw for stable and field-can have as much/little TO as wanted

Have to buy food/bedding ect on top of that

Just bought some hay for £3.00 per bale
unsure how much hayledge is this year but last year was £12 for small bale £22for big bale, and £3,50 for shavings and he delivers to us.

get feed from local merchant down the road who has reasonable prices
 
DIY;
£18 for stable, and a small shared paddock with excellent grazing.
£7 per week for unlimited use of the big bale hay/hayledge hybrid.
£4.75 for shavings.

There is a sand/rubber mix outdoor, a small dark indoor, a sand outdoor & tons of hacking.
