How much does it cost people to pay for livery? Curious to see how much as I’ve rented fields quite cheaply for a long time and wondered what the differences in prices are, also what facilities you have at your livery for the cost would be helpful to ?

i have paid between £25 and £55pw DIY on different yards. Always with a basic shortlist of facilities such as stable, turnout, arena, lorry parking.

Very much depends where you are in the country, I’m in Yorkshire and the “down south” people on here thought what I pay for full livery was ridiculously low, when it’s the average around here. Plus facilities play a big part.
In Yorkshire & the North West I’ve paid roughly:
£280 a month for youngstock livery.
£15-£35 a week for total DIY nothing but a stable and field.
£35-£55 a week for DIY inc hay & straw
£55-£75 a week for part/assisted livery
£80-£150 a week for full livery (the £150 included exercise and amazing facilities, the £80 was care and very good facilities/turnout)

my diy £ 55

part £ 124 inc: lighting /water - bedding feeding stable use of facilities and my labour

assisted depends on what extra's they choose

I am down south, we base our prices on surrounding areas and the cost of outgoings/improvements and our facilities.

We’ve rented our yard out to one of our former liveries, and he’s charging £50 per week for diy. The yard has American style barn with hot/cold water, solarium, 70x30 outdoor, lunge area/all weather turnout, horse walker, individual paddocks, secure tack room, trailer/lorry parking. Hacking is ok, fair bit of road but there is also off-road riding close by.

£35 a week DIY including haylage for the months they're in overnight (roughly mid Nov-mid April). That includes the use of an outdoor 20x40 school, trailer parking, decent storage and daily turnout (7am-6pm in winter 24/7 in summer). It's mid-high end for the area (S. Wales).
