Keep him at private yard the other end of village from Ickleford Riding School. But have been down there for lessons and that's where I first learnt to ride. Do u do ride side saddle (saw your name) I so want to try it- where did you learn?
Also how much should I be expecting to pay for livery in this area? I just need somewhere with stabling and grazing as he's a happy hacker Have only had experience of one place so not sure whats good rate/ expensive now?!
I went back to Ickleford after a period of not riding, so i guess you could say i re-learnt to ride there - i then bought my horse from there and also worked there for a while.
the place i had in mind from your post is in Norton the other side of letchworth, is very basic and totally DIY, but you get a stable and field for about £200 a quarter (it does vary as they have 3 yards of differing prices). No school but a field you able to ride in, has jumps etc. The yard is on the Letchworth green way so hacking is good. Know you said it was a bit far away but if you interested at all it is run by Standalone farm so just give them a bell. I only ever kept my horses at the riding school or nortonbury so don't know a lot about price either!
Yeah i ride side saddle, but don't live down your way anymore, i live in Warwickshire and learn up here. But i think contessa riding school do side saddle lessons.
