I'm looking into moving to the Llanrumney area of Cardiff-does anyone know of any livery yards around there? DIY grass livery preferred (all-year turnout), and would love to have access to a school (and showjumps!) as current yard has no facilities whatsoever. Would love tons of off-road hacking, somewhere to put my home-made tack locker and rug trunk or if not, our own space in the tack room. And a million pounds :D
Am happy to travel upto 20mins. Current livery is £20 a week (DIY grazing livery).
Have been trying to Google local yards but the only ones really advertised are big yards like Lower Stocklands and I'm not sure I could afford them (anyone know what their livery rates are?) and smaller yards tend to be advertised by word of mouth.
Any help?

Hello,

If you do a quick search on here you will find quite a few list of yards in the area,
Also there advertised on horsewatch wales on facebook quite a bit.
Theres a fair few yards along st mellons road leading to lisvane way and also rudry road.
Theres fosters farm in llanrumney and also quite a few down the coast road between cardiff and newport.
Stocklands is quite a way from llanrumney though. Most in the above mentioned places will be closer than stocklands :)

You definately DO NOT want to stable your horses in Llanrumney.

Well worth the extra time and travel to find somewhere safe to keep your horse.

Rudry, Lisvane - and yes Stocklands or Porters both of which are near each other in Radyr and Pentyrch. There is also another livery yard along that particular road which offers organic livery (not sure what that means....)
