livery in bedfordshire wanted

Hi, I have just moved to Bedfordshire and I'm looking for either 1 or 2 stables in a yard where I can do DIY/part DIY livery. I am in the Clophill/Maulden area, but work in Kempston and would look that way or further afield towards Shefford/Bigglewade for the right place if it was an easy commute.

My main horse is large at 17.2 and I need a decent sized stable, individual turn out with decent fencing, and lots of grass.

Ideally I'm after somewhere quiet but I'm happy to rent a spare stable at someone's private yard, or rent out a small unwanted spare yard. I am able to help do owner's horse in weekday mornings if that assists.

My horse needs a companion, hence I would need 2 stables if there weren't existing horses on site to keep him company.

Any ideas?

I had mine at http://www.sunnysidelivery.co.uk/www.sunnysidelivery.co.uk/Home.html for a year, it is a competition yard but it's not that big and quite quiet. They have a DIY block that I think had room for 5/6 horses.

Tried Gravenhurst last weekend but they're all full and they couldn't think of anyone else. Apparently they've had lots of people asking.

Had a look at Sunnyside livery and it looks nice with lots of facilities but looks a bit in the wrong direction for work etc.

I have heard really good things about The Stables (Wootton - call and ask for Carla). The website is for the onsite B&B but I don't think the farm has a website so call the same number.

Carla is very friendly, professional and really knows her stuff. The yard is large (40 or so liveries) but they are split into different blocks so all seem to have their own little community. DIY is £25 a week and there is plenty of grazing, hacking is very good from there, the school is big and maintained. Haven't ever heard a bad word about the place. My farrier shoes there and even he says they are a really good bunch and farriers get to see and hear everything!!!

I can also recommend the yard down Pedley Lane in Shefford - it is very cloe to my work place and I know the YO's daughter. Let me know if you want more detail.
