Hi guys, im new here so sorry if I posted in wrong section.

Just wondering if anyone is local to me (Gloucestershire) and knows of any good yards for DIY livery. As cheap as possible but obviously theres a limit when I want facilities.

Looking for somewhere that has good grazing (main priority) and can stay out as much/if not all, of year. Need a stable too and a school is really what I want although I would forgo that if hacking was really good or there was somewhere to ride(i.e spare field).

I am currently in a field with 3 stables (me and 1 other lady) and im not happy. Poorly maintained fencing/hedges, lady sections off field so my boy is stuck in a small bit and I could really do with a school for winter as im currently starting my horse. Grazing is the really neccessary bit as I like him to be out as much as poss:D

Will consider anywhere from Stroud to nr Chelt Racecourse but as close to Shurdington as possible please.

Il consider anything and numbers/websites would be really helpful :D

Thanks in advance!! Sarah

All the info should be on the website. Its £109 a month DIY including stable 24/7 tunout Apr-Nov and they have to be in at night over the winter. We have a flood lit school 6 miles of hacking around the farm which includes a point to point course and hay/straw can be bought direct from the farmer.

I would imagine there is something closer to you though. 25 mins is quite a long way to travel every morning and evening.

There is a yard in witcombe that has an indoor and outdoor school and good hacking and also a yard in Churchdown that has a school and some off road hacking. PM me if you would like contact details. Also there is www.richardchapmanequestrian.co.uk, looks good on the website.
Also Ullenwood Riding stables and Badgeworth Court livery both are near Cheltenham.

Um witcombe yard is too posh for me and too expensive =/ Churchdowns got rubbish hacking, ullenwood they tend to have to be on working livery and the YO horrible and badgeworth is my old yard, again not great hacking for a baby :( Thanks though. Il look at richardchapman but I think its too far. Thanks again

Hello!

I am on DIY near Sapperton, pay £120/month including hay, straw, stable and field all year around!
Turnout 24/7 since my horse arrived in May this year and I'm hoping to leave him out all winter as well with natural shelter.(the farmer is ok with that at the moment as it would only be my horse out 24/7 but you would have to see with him for you)
Lots ans lotssssss of hacking as by Cirencester Park!
About 15min from Stroud, Cirencester way.
5 horses there at the moment, very nice people and you can come whenever you want, unlike most yard!
But...no school unfortunately. However there is a yard about 1mile/10minutes ride away with a school where one of the lady who has a horse with mine goes once a week. Don't know how much it is though!
We are planning to help each other out with that lady in the winter as otherwise I would have to go twice a day to put hay in the nets and I'll probably struggle with my hours of work.(I live near Stroud)

Let me know if you would like more information:-)
