Hello,

I consider to move from Germany to the London Hampstead area with my young gelding. Now I am looking for a good livery stable with all year turnout and if possible with an indoor arena. As I have a car I am flexible. Could you also mention me some good instructors who can train a young horse?
Thank you in advance!
Danilo:)

Hey,

I live in Hampstead but don't know of anywhere that does livery around there, I know there is a riding school in Mill Hill you could look into that, not been there myself so not sure if they do livery?
Sorry not to be more help

You won't find livery in Hampstead so you will have to use your car. I would recommend Keith Robertson at Wild Farm for dressage livery and training. He is really good and a very easy person to deal with.

Other options

Mote End Farm - Mill Hill - used to be very good but not sure now.

Other couple of livery places - London E.C.
Frith Manor if you like shanty towns.

I think you will struggle to find anywhere with an indoor school tbh the only place I can think of is Patchetts EC.

I echo LHS's advice... Some more info on what you're after would be helpful - full livery, part, DIY? What do you plan to do with your gelding? May help with instructor recommendation! Also, any thoughts on budget - prices can vary a lot! These are all within 1/2 an hour from Hampstead and offer hacking, schools....

Large, full, part or DIY and pricey:
Patchetts
Mote End Farm

Other options:
Wild Farm (Keith Robertson), Radlett
Netherwylde, radlett
Hill Farm, Radlett
Strangeways Farm, Borehamwood
South medburn, elstree
Earls Farm/ CrossOaks, Shenley
London Equestrian Centre (Mill Hill)

Feel free to PM me

Most have websites, happy googling!

When I worked in Hampstead I would often see a group of 3-4 riders hacking in the area any idea what stables they were from as I never came across any?

I think there used to be a city farm not in Hampstead but near enough to hack to it. Plus I know of a couple of people who hacked down from one of the stables in Mill Hill to Hampstead.

Danilo You mentioned an indoor school, of the ones mentioned so far
LEC, Patchetts, Strangeways have good sized indoor schools.
Hill Farm and Cross Oaks don't. Mote End's is very small.

Not sure about the others mentioned

Alot will depend on your budget too and whether you are looking for DIY or Full Livery.
