Now I have finally got another car sorted out I have decided to bring my horse to uni with me in Nottingham. I think in terms of traffic wise and where I live i need a yard to the south or west of the city- looking mainly around cotgrave, bunny, gotham also possibly trowell and that area. Just want an idea of any yards in this area and maybe the sort of cost for DIY livery in this area. I drove by what looked to be quite a nice looking place today in Cotgrave but couldn't see a name just everything else was Hollygate something! Does anyone know anything about this place? Thank you in advance- any help gratefully appreciated as it is hard to know where to start finding a good livery yard!

PM'd you about Hollygate!

There are lots of yards in Bunny/Gotham area, and also a purpose built yard not far from cotgrave, got memory blank but will let you know when I remember! Livery prices range from 18-35 a week dependant on what you want included in the area. Hope that is of some help....

Hi I'm in north Nottinghamshire, so can't tell you about yards down there but i know up here DIY livery is up to £40 a week depending on facilities, it is £40 a week where I keep my horse which I know sounds like a lot but does include everything barring feed and the facilities are very good. I know you can get DIY at most places for around £25 a week to include an outdoor school and some hacking. Good luck looking I know there are some other Notta people on here so helpfully they'll be able to help you.

Hi,
we live just south of nottingham and have a stable available at a reasonable rate. it comes with your own tack room for storage of haylage and such like however it has been known to be at slight risk of flooding. there are plenty of bridleways and open fields and we are situated in a river valley. full access to clean running water -tap just one door away from stable. The stable next door is occupied by two black labradors - hopefully this wont be a problem. Stable is fully drained with rubber matting included. Stable is below a flat which is currently let to two slightly strange scottish people but i believe they are quite harmless.
reply on the forum as i check it regularly
hope this helps you out!

p.s. how exactly are you going to fit your horse in your car? is it a minature shetland you own?

I believe I know you George156! I agree with the strange scottish people- I bet they are called linda and mike just like the ones above my stable at home! Now wouldn't that be weird! Clearly you have nothing better to do with your time! And by the way advertising contravenes forum terms and conditions!
