Posted some time ago about livery yards in the following areas: Mildenhall, Tuddenham, Red Lodge, Fordham, Kennett, Kentford, Gazeley, Worlington, Herringswell, Chippenham. Had some good responses, but most the yards offer only full or diy. This was also a few months ago now and so circumstances are slightly different.

Horse is due back to me in a couple of months from loan and want to begin hunting somewhere. For the right place I would pay a deposit/reserve box if they would allow.

I need something that allows me a chance to have some support through assisted on ocassional days. If close enough I can do DIY to and from work, but if not would require one end of the day covered for me. Not adverse to helping out other DIYers etc either! I just need somewhere with enough turn out and one stable for my horse, the basics (electric, water etc), and possibly a school to ride in!

Been pawing the internet, but still looking and browsing! So far I have looked at Rosewood (out of price range), Oaklands (no spaces), Woodlands Stables, a yard in Isleham, places in Soham (too far away). Also considered Barrow Hall stables (too far), and have had a couple of responses from people with private yards- but they are too far East towards Bury St Edmunds. Also reserved a box for a few weeks at a yard inbetween Kentford/Red Lodge, but after our house move went belly up and fell behind, I had to let it go :( Unfprtunately with repairs it is also now slightly out of price range too.

So, my question, anyone know of anywhere private other than the above, or can suggest somewhere within these areas? And does anyone have a number for Anchor Stables (Kentford), Grabella Stud (Kentford), a guy with a yard in Herringswell (I forget his name!), or any other details or advice they could pass my way?

Thank youuuu :)

Thanks, I have noted the number for Grabella and left them a voicemail, have not had my call returned just yet. Not sure of the yard you mean Cobscando but will keep an eye out when I drive through later!

I am also on the all things horsey group, so will keep an eye on it. Just trying to find a number for Anchor Stables, and also find out the ones in Tuddenham and Herringswell. Will have to do a bit of touring in my car I think!

I feel so rude just rocking up to a yard and knocking on the door though, is this something many people have done?
