My daughter is looking for livery in Lincoln. Has heard of a place called decoy farm which due its location would be ideal but has not been able to find any contact details for the livery there. dose any one know how to contact decoy farm so I can find out if there are any places available at decoy farm.

many thanks hope some one can help

Hi there, as far as I'm aware, Decoy Farm is now closed.

There are some not too far away though.

White House Farm is at Eagle and there's Bruce's DIY at Hykeham.

Hope this helps!

I know that this is an old thread, however I moved to Lincoln in 2014 and read that Decoy Farm was closed. I am pleased to confirm it is now open and their Facebook page holds all contact details.... Lovely yard

That is good to know! I used to live in Lincoln and will be moving back there next year. Are you still allowed to let horses roam on the 2 commons?

Hi Brett

There are horses on the Commens however I am unsure of what you need to do. Decoy Farm have a Facebook page. Good Luck

To register a horse on the common, you need to live within the city boundary. You can get a form from the city council to fill in, you used to have to have your horse vetted, the form signed by a solicitor or Justice of the Peace to say the horse is yours, then pay your fee. The fee covers the administration costs, not sure if they still brand the horses hooves, it's been quite a few years since I had my pony on there! :) Used to be about £35 for the year, it's probably more now. The racecourse stables can be hired to be used but that's done through the Lincoln Horse Commons Association I believe and costs extra.
