Looking to move to the area in the very near future, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a livery yard locally for my one horse.

I'm looking for DIY livery, with an arena really. Some half decent hacking nearby, as I don't think I will bring the trailer to begin with.

Can anyone recommend anywhere, or advise of anywhere to steer clear of?!

All help much appreciated!

On Facebook there's an open group called Highland Horse Chat and Trading Place. You could ask there, as it's local and there's always people asking for advice re. livery yards, farriers, vets etc. in the Highlands.

Do a search on Gumtree for "horse" in the Highland region. Several people advertising grazing but I've no idea if they would be of any use to you. You could always post a Wanted ad too. Good luck.

(If you don't know the area, be prepared to search Google maps for place names. Everyone up here will assume you know your way around).

Seaforth is only 5mins from Dingwall which has good hacking, indoor and outdoor arena. Elaine Taylor runs it and there is also Dochgarty run by Susan Campbell with good outdoor arena that looks down onto Dingwall.
