Hello! I'm going to be relocating to Preston from the South East for work, so am looking for DIY (with option of extra services when needed, or possibly assisted) for one 16hh gelding.

Must have all year turn out, seperate mares and geldings, access to decent hacking, friendly people to hack with and a properly maintained school. As a little bit about us, we are starting out in dressage and aiming to affiliate once we are settled 😃

Additionally, any extra horsey information about the area would be hugely appreciated!

Posh Paws 'n' Ponies in Samlesbury, Preston may have something to offer. There are on 'Livery List' I think if that helps.

There's lots of options near to preston itself depending on whereabouts in preston you are relocating to, I can highly recommend Roseacre farm in Salwick for the level of care (they offer assisted DIY and full as well as just DIY) and the school is good quality too, separate grazing too and hacking. They don't advertise so you would have to visit to see if they have any vacancies, if you want their address let me know.

In terms of tack shops/feed places again it depends whereabouts in preston you are but Oakfield saddlery is good and they do feed and shavings too. There is also happy hoof saddlery on the Blackpool road out of preston who are cheap and lots of choice.

If you want any more info PM me.

I'd second Posh Paws n Ponies, one of the few places who genuinely do all year turnout.

There are places that tell you they do it when in reality they don't.
