Hey Irish members - can you let me know about good livery options in Dublin please? I'm probably going to be based in Blackrock/Sandyford area and from what I can see, options are limited. But what can I expect to pay? Thanks in advance.

Hey there!

I'd say you have a better chance posting on the stable-to-stable forum.

Hi

I currently have my horse in a yard in Kildare about a 30 min drive (outside peak times) from Sandyford.

If you don't mind driving there are a couple in Kildare that I know of:

Toberton Lodge 045-871863

I'm not that familiar with yards around Dublin but Carrickmines Equestrian Centre would be very near to Blackrock/Sandyford.

And also Brennanstown would probably be about a 20 min drive away.

Also the AIRE website lists all the riding establishments registered with them.

Livery is very expensive in the Dublin area, I pay €25 a day for full livery.

If you have any questions let me know

Hi,
There are lots and lots fo options within a 45 minute drive from Blackrock/ Sandyford. Wicklow is full of horses and would be a quick scoot on the N11 from Sandyford. There are lots of yards in the Enniskerry area which is very South Dublin/ North Wicklow.
Borehard as mentioned above is a really top notch place with superb standards, really nice people and a personalised feel. Its also very near the competition venues of Kill International & Coilog as well as being near the M7 which takes you pretty much anywhere!
Good luck and make sure to visit/email with loads of questions. AIRE approval is a minimum.
