Am a little out of touch of up to date DIY livery prices in the area.

We have a small yard of DIY liveries. We have a secure feed room, storage room for rugs/spare bits and pieces etc.., hay barn. Post & rail fields, decent size paddocks and decent grazing, separate summer / winter fields. Choice of individual turnout or small herd turnout, a sick paddock. Running water & electric on the yard, electric gated entrance and we live on site. The car park, muck heap, and paths to the winter fields are all flood lit. The only thing we lack currently is a school (plan to add one in the future) subject to planning permission due to the area we're in.

What is the going rate for DIY livery for something like the above? We've been the same price for the last four years and never increased the rent. After just reading a post on Facebook and seeing what some people are paying for DIY I feel we're potentially too cheap, but I realise each area / part of the country will differ in price.

I used to be somewhere with similar facilities and no school, and they charged £175 per month just for basic DIY. That was about 4 years ago now. I'd think you could charge around £200 a month DIY (I'm in Sussex, it's not cheap!). Lack of school does drop what you can charge a little bit, but good yards will always have people willing to pay.

I'm in Surrey and DIY prices vary widely across the county.
Friend moved last month from large 35 horse+ part and DIY yard, arena with lights but grim deep surface, xc course (dilapidated) and individual or paired paddocks, access to bridleway but no decent hacking, paying £52 pw per horse for pure DIY Inc stable. V strict rules on yard opening and closing times were brought in and extra cost to bring horses in by 4pm from end Oct to March if owner doesnt comply.
11 mile round trip on foul roads from her home.

Moved much closer to home as closeby yard had space, paired paddocks, unlit but decent 25 x 60 arena, no tackroom but decent fodder storage, no time rules, access to good hacking, lovely stables, max 11 equines inc yo's 2 (was 10, only stables for 10, but YO ok for her to leave sensible one out) . £35 per animal per week.
10 minute walk from home.

Thanks guys, we're definitely under priced reading your replies. I'm only a small yard of 7 stables, two of those being my own horses.

Something to look at changing in the new year going forward price wise I think.
