Livery Q?

How much do you pay for DIY?

Farm has 100 acres of good draining land so should be able to do all year turn out.
20 Stables
Outdoor arena with good surface.
Parking for trailers.
Lunging pen.
Good hacking.

How much per week do you think this is worth? Tyring to get an idea for investment potential of a business.

I Have the above plus an indoor school, they supply all the hay (charged) and you can have services (extra cost) as you need them for £160 a month

I pay £85 a month stable + grazing for a similar place. Hay is supplied and delivered to your stable at extra cost, and all services available at extra cost. We don't have any "people" facilities though (no kitchen or toilet).

On DIY I pay £28 pw for my stable and grazing, £10 a week 'facility' charge for a massive outdoor, gallop track and farm ride, £12 a week for as much hay as I want and I have to pay to use the indoor. I also have to buy shavings from the YO at £5.30 a bale. This is all on DIY, so if I ask for my horse to brought in, turned out etc then it adds to that. Usualy costs £235 - £250 a month, very expensive area though and superb facilities, can't knock them, plus we have shows / XC / clinics / lessons going on all the time so we barely need to go off the yard unless we want to. I also pay for my trailer to be locked up in secure parking there.

I'm on a farm type yard, individual turnout (own winter and summer field), outdoor school, parking for trailers, excellent hacking all on edge of peak district. It's £22 per week and then £5 per week for hay and £3 for straw. There is a loo and a kettle but it is diy - no extra's available or anything.

Oooh, you little rebel - will James & co not kill you if you set up a rival yard?

They were £20pw for stable + grazing, £5pw for the school and £2.50 ish a week for adlib hay when I left, but I think they may have put the prices up a little.

Grazing is rubbish there though of course (well actually the grass is fine but they don't cater for non-laminitic, non-obese creatures of more than 14.2 in terms of paddock size
