Hi,

I am relocating with my horse to the Uk from switzerland and am looking for a yard to stable my 10 yo KWPN gelding as of end of January 2014.

Ideally I would like an indoor school and part or full livery. The area I am looking at is stratford, warwick, leamington, meriden, nuneaton.

If there are any stables out there that specialise in Dressage that would be an added bonus. I am an experienced dressage rider and ride semi-professionally in switzerland so would also be willing and available to help out at the stables or ride/train any horses when owners are away, etc.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Alie

Hi,

http://www.*******.co.uk/ is a good place to start, that's a fairly big area your looking at. You could also ask on the competition riders section on this forum or ask on any dressage forums (sure there must be some).

That's quite a wide area so you should be ok, my side of that area has the following

CMC Equines near Kenilworth is good, has indoor school, horse swimming pool and good visiting dressage trainer. Might be worth a look

Also Lowlands in Shrewley is good and has indoor although also has riding school/RDA centre onsite I am not sure how that might affect use of indoor.

Think the yard at Hill Wootton also has an indoor. Couldn't recommend Swallowfields based on feedback from several former staff and liveries.

RE Lowlands indoor use, when being used for RDA, livery use is limited, particularly in winter time when they cannot use the outdoor.
The outdoor arena is also quite deep in areas and very very dusty in warmer weather when it is dry.

Hill Wooton is lovely, and there is a professional dressage rider and trainer (Jemma Bentley) on site there.

Claire at CMC is fabulous and like the encyclopaedia of the horse world! Alex Hargie visits once or twice a month to teach, but he gets booked up very fast.

I've only heard good things about swallowfield as a livery yard, and they do have superb facilities, plus on site competitions.

You could also contact Natalie Allen. She is based in Kineton, not far from Stratford. Indoor arena and stables there are fab.
