Ok so im now looking at horses to full loan and went down to my local yard which is two mins drive away to ask about prices etc. Its cheap (£12 a week DIY) but there is a big waiting list apparently. I was told its worth putting my name down as boxes have come up and people have turned them down. Im also going to look at other yards a bit further away as im seeing a horse this weekend to try but he must go to a yard with me.

Therefore my question is how on earth do you time getting a spot at livery with getting a horse? If i put my name on a waiting list and a box comes up but i havent found a horse should i take the box and pay for it until a horse comes up and what do i do if i like a horse and want to take it on but a spot hasnt come up yet?

Im confused

I paid £50 a month retainer on my stable at the old yard before I got Mazzie. Ended up paying for three months but I had the stable ready. Not sure what happens if you find a horse but no stable....

I don't know about when you are looking for a loan horse but this might help.
When i was looking for a horse, i contacted livery yards, then i found one i liked and so there was a space waiting for when i found my little man. So livery first then horse
