Hi, I'm looking for livery in a friendly yard private yard with secure all year turnout, access to an arena...good hacking. I live in Takeley so ideally in the Takeley, Hatfield Forest, Hallingbury or Dunmow area. I'm a happy hacker (I have a very well behaved horse and we love to go out in company whenever possible). Please let me know if you can help as I've tried most places locally without success. Thanks.

Brook Farm at Little Easton airfield? Or there is a smaller one up Laundry Lane by Great Easton, but I don't know the name.

If you are prepared to go an extra 5 mins down the road, Frenches Farm at Gt Bardfield is brilliant. (it is where I am). Part livery, all year turnout (although like most places they had to close the fields for a few weeks this winter). We have a new arena and horse walker. Hacking is excellent all year as we have a series of part surface byways that don't get muddy in winter. Sally has a website Frenches Farm Livery in google should find it. And we have a free stable at the moment.

Hi, I think Bardfield and the Eastons may be too far (I'm new to the area!) route planner says 30/35 mins from me....I was hoping to around 15 mins maximum. Please keep your suggestions coming as they are very much appreciated. Thanks

Where exactly are you Diplomat? There is no way that Takeley is 30 mins from Bardfield. One of our liveries lives in Takeley and it is a really easy journey for her, down what was the old A120 and through Stebbing - easy peasy.

Hi, yes the route planner says 30 mins to Bardfield and 20ish mins to the Eastons. I have left a message for Brook Farm though. Many thanks.

There is a new yard opening at Felsted, where Elite Equestrian used to be. Felsted is probably 15/20 minutes from Takeley? Gt Easton is probably 10 minutes. :-)

Hi, brilliant thanks for....I'm going to head to the Eastons tomorrow - the new Dunmow bypass has opened so that should speed things up! Will check out Felsted too. Many thanks.

I can probably find you a phone number for the Felsted yard if needed. It is through the car park by the church, just before the shop.

Hi, yes please thank you.

I did pop to Brook End Farm this morning and they only do full livery, it is a beautiful yard and location. You were right it only too 12 minutes to get there!

Thanks again for your help.

Will get on it tomorrow. If you pm me your mobile number I will text it from work as it is there that I will get it. I did hear Brook Farm were thinking of only doing full but didn't realise they had made the switch.

Twyford livery which is a 10 min drive from takeley- I know as have driven it hundreds of times! Do all kinds of livery and is a great yard run by a lovely lady.

That is a pity! It's a lovely yard ( I am on full livery there ) and the care is second to none. I didn't realise it was full but then there has been new arrivals lately. If you get a stable when one comes free you should definitely take it, it's a really great yard with very friendly people!
