hi anyone know of any nice livery yards around croft or any where up the east lancs road no further than the m6 junction diy or part livery
also wigan area and around bolton area
i am central to all these areas
would like an outdoor school and grazing not bothered if turnout is limited
thanks

Err the stables on stone pit lane, big longborough on the east lancs, Bullens not far from there on perimeter road, not sure if any of these are close enough but all I can think of sorry

Hi,

There are two yards on the road between the East Lancs (Toby Carvery) at Lowton and Culcheth (sorry not sure of the names!). In Wigan there are Lily Lane Stables in Bryn and also a number of yards on Scott Lane in Aspull (one with a "stables for rent" sign at the end of the drive). There are also a number of yards along Slag Lane in Lowton...

Any help?

the horse i used to part loan was kept on woolden hall farm near culcheth/cadishead, its off woolden road. it has 2 outdoor schools, lots of grazing.

there's also a riding school in croft that does livery i think.

There's loads of livery yards around Croft - the big ones would be the riding school which has two outdoors and an indoor (but that's mainly used by the school), cockshot farm, then there's Sue Sutcliffe's place, Adrian Marsh's, Highcroft (called something else now I think), Tim's place (no idea what its official name is!!).

All of these have outdoor arenas and grazing and there will be at least a dozen more small ones tucked away in the vicinity

Hi

Tim's yard is on Mustard Lane - it's on the road from Croft to Culcheth. Jack9 is right it is called Oaklands or Oakfields. It's just before the Catholic Church. Highcroft (or I think it's called Manor Farm these days) is on the same road - and that's just past the Church (just past Lady Lane). Think that one is quite small and kid free these days

If you don't want too many kids around then the livery side of the riding school is quite good for that (it's on Spring lane. There is a website if you google it), has good(ish) facilities and quite a few competitions and clinics on site. The liveries on there are really friendly.
