livery yard business rates

does anyone know how much business rates are for livery yards,
i have been told its worked out by the number of stables, and that the rates are worked out on a lower rate than standard commercial rates,

Hi, I'm not sure exactly how they work out the rates, but, if you look on the Valuation Office Agency website, www.voa.gov.uk you can find the rateable value for any property that has been rated, search through Local Authority and then address. For each Rated property there will also be a valuation which will show how it has been valued.
