Livery yard costs Aspull /Blackrod/Chorley

Hi all

I grew up in Aspull and used to keep a loan horse there in my teens! Been down South for a long time but still come back up regularly to see parents and miss the north. I just wondered what prices are like now, e.g for full livery (5 or 7 day) or assisted livery where there is a groom or yard manager on site to help on as needed basis? I’m almost tempted to consider moving back as there is increasingly little choice where we are (now on FL after 15 years of assisted) and houses are being built everywhere and I’m just not enjoying it anymore ?

Hi, these prices may not be accurate as I've been on DIY for the last 5 years but when I was on part livery 5 years ago muck out (mon-fri) turnout/bring in and hay/haylege included was £80 pw, if holiday cover was needed this was an additional £10pd.
I would say if you're looking at Aspull/Blackrod area be aware of the Greater Manchester clean air scheme, if you have a horse box this could put extra expenses on you anytime you take it out.
