Hi all,

Despite searching the internet and calling on anyone I think might have an idea I still have not found anywhere for Dougal to live. I'm looking for a full livery yard with all year turn out within 1/2 hour drive of Buckhurst Hill.

All the yards in the immediate vicinity have limited turnout so are not suitable so is there anyone who knows of a yard with a floodlit school that might be suitable. I am desperate since we are moving into our new home over the Easter break but Dougal is going to have to stay in Kent till I find somewhere for him.

I was thinking Brentwood would be a good idea since I work in Sevenoaks and drive past there on my way home from work every night. In fact anywhere off the M25 between the tunnel and Loughton would be great.

Please, if any of you know of anywhere please let me know....help.

Thank you in advance.xxxx

I am in Chingford. We have turnout all year round, but it is only for a few hours a day in the winter. We have a floodlit school too. I work in B/Hill and it is about 10 mins from here.

Sorry, just re-read your post. We are DIY. The yard next door is full livery Mon-Fri and you will have some turnout everyday. They have a school too.

Oh wow, that would be great. A couple of hours is better than nothing and i'd ride every day in any case.

Do they have any vacancies? How much is it for full livery. Sorry for all the questions.

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

Nat.x

Hi there
I am at a yard in Upshire (about 10-15 mins drive to the north from Buckhurst Hill). The do DIY / assisted and full. My horse is on full livery. They have 3 floodlit menages (on full size, two slightly smaller) and winter & summer turnout as well as pens. The yard is very large and does look a little tired but my horse is absolutely happy there (I moved him there in January). Let me know if you are interested and I can give you the contact details of the chap who looks after my boy. I think he has a vacancy at the moment.
Good Luck anyway - finding a suitable yard is quite nerve-wrecking. ;-)
