I know I've asked before but looking for a yard in the above areas, not wanting as big as Barleyfields or Hargate, must have all year turnout and a school, does anyone know any details on the yard on radbourne lane?

Hi Shellibob. Im just wondering if you found anything? I am being terribly nosy as i'm going to hopefully be needing somewhere after Christmas and its so hard finding anything in the area. Any advice will be gratefully received. x

Not in the area , i have ended up a bit further away, i think it depends on what you want

I'm glad you found somewhere. I've found oakdean and the livery near happy hens but no where else local. I'm really looking for DIY (maybe with assisted), 24/7 365 day grazing a decent school and hacking. Was it hard to find a good place? Ps thanks for getting back to me 😃

There's nowhere that does 24/7 turnout all year - finding somewhere that does daily turnout is hard enough. Happy hens are in for a few weeks over the winter while the weather is bad I was told when I looked round. Oakdene if the fields are really wet they'll be in for a few days but I don't think we were kept in more than 3 in a row and honestly the hacking is awful - you've got to go through a large village/small town to get anywhere and I didn't ever find anywhere you could canter.
If you're happy to travel a little further (about 10-15 minute drive from Mickleover) then Breach Mannor Farm is amazing, friendly yard, superb facilities (60x20 with mirrors, seperate jumping school etc) and brilliant hacking - they don't have a website but do have a fb page.

Barelyfields are in all winter with no turnout.

Good luck finding somewhere - honestly good yards seem thin on the ground around here

Wow thank you so much for all that information. Im happy to go a bit further out for the right place. Breach Mannor Farm Sounds great. I shall look them up for sure. Fingers crossed they have places when I need one too lol. Thanks again it's so hard to find out information. No one really advertises apart from the big full livery places. X

My friend is about to move to one on Burnaston Lane in Etwall. Not been there myself, but she too has an ulcer prone mare and is a knowledgable owner. I'm sure she wouldn't be going there if she didn't think the place would suit her horse.

Do you have personal experience with breach manor? Looks great but im such a wimp and like to have recommendations! Which is the one on Burnaston lane Greylegs?
