Don't know about yards as at Hexham but try the fb pages South Tyneside Riders and Northern Neddies etc.

I saw your post in TR about your horse, he has hind suspensory issues? I also saw you said he had very bad feet, there's a definite link between PSD / suspensory problems and feet problems. My then 5 yo was diagnosed with PSD in all 4 legs last October and I thought it was the end of the road for him. He also had reverse angle pedal bones behind and lgl.

I almost called the hunt for him at one point and was advised by many to pts.

He had remedial shoeing and this worked behind but proceeded to go very lame in front. I did hours of research and put him on a "barefoot diet", basically low sugar, he has hay, fast fibre, pro hoof, micronised linseed and protexin gut balancer.

He's actually surpassed the vets expectations and he's quite shocked the horse is now fully sound, and barefoot now, movement is fab, plenty hock action. He's expected to be fine to jump / compete etc.

I'm not a barefoot fanatic, I've always worked with and owned shod horses.

There's pics of my boy here https://www.facebook.com/emmalineweeks/media_set?set=a.10150319185685159.388498.786005158&type=3

And Steven Leigh is a knowledgeable trimmer, he's got a fb page and a website, his page is quite useful.
