Livery yard near Leigh on Sea, Essex

Hi. I am moving to Leigh on Sea with my 14.3 Welsh/Dales 24 year old happy hacker. She lives out with a field shelter at home at the moment, but will have to go on full livery when we move. She needs all year turn out and ideally I would like her to live out with a shelter all year, but it seems most yards bring them in at night. All we do is hack so good hacking is a must. Can anyone recommend a yard within 30 minutes drive? Thanks Julie

\hi there, i know you posted this a while ago, but i am in similar circumstances lookng for a livery near leigh on sea (pref leigh on sea or rayleigh) for my gelding who lives out all year. I just wondered if you had found anything suitable or anyone knows anywhere i could try? thanks

There are no yards in Leigh-on-Sea, you need to look at Thundersley, Wickford or Rochford. Shopland does full livery, the others I know are DIY. Dollymans is DIY but you get your own turnout and can do as you like with it, so TO all yard if you wish but your patch would likely become a bog!

Oh no! Thanks for the info though. I'm guessing the TO area isnt very big at Dollymans if it is likely to get boggy? I think I am quite spoilt where he is now as have seperate summer/winter grazing which is all pretty sheltered with trees etc.
Wickford is a bit far. Would travel to Rochford/Thundersley if had to - can you (or anyone) recommend anywhere suitable? He's at a farm at the moment with heaps of grazing as i said, so it's going to be a tough call to move him
