Hi I am looking for a livery yard in or around Audley, (near stoke-on-trent, junction 16 of the M6). I am moving to the village in about 7 weeks and need to find a DIY yard for my 15.2h mare. Looking for a yard with a stable, floodlit menage and "accident prone horse" proof fencing that also offers part/ full livery for the odd day I am working away from home as it is my first house and I will be living there on my own during the week as boyfriend works away.

I don't know the area very well at all. Had found the perfect yard a mile from the house we have bought, rang up today to confirm and the people that were meant to be leaving have now decided to stay so no spare stables. Pretty gutted and starting to get stressed about finding somewhere as I can't afford to put her on full livery and move at the same time.

I have been told it is a very horsey area and there are around 12 yards but I don't know where they are! Please, please, please can you message me with details if you can recommend anywhere!

Very grateful for all replies. Thank you very much.

I was sent this infomation when I was looking for yards in that area (am in Madeley now, not sure if that'll be too far? )

There's Quarry New Farm, Nantwich Road Audley. The YO there is called Terry and I believe he does turning out etc. Sand school, all year turnout, although stabled over winter at night.

Craddocks Moss Livery Yard, Betley. I think they have a website if you google it. Owners are David and Jane Berrisford. He does livery packages and horses are out all year, although I've no idea if they can live out in winter. Sand/rubber, floodlit school.

Fields Farm, Park Lane, Audley. She runs a Section C stud from there and I believe horses can live out all year but you do have to pay for a stable too, for those times when you may need it. She will turn out etc. Her name is Anna. Woodchip school.

Grange Livery Yard, Boon Hill, Bignall End. The yard owner doesn't get involved though, so there'd be no assisted livery. Indoor, lit manege.

Gamekeeper's Cottage, The Drive, Alsagers Bank. No idea what his turnout arrangements are though, sorry. He does have an outdoor manege and you get a key to ride over Apedale Country Park.

Thanks very much.

Quarry New Farm is the yard I was going to move to but the people that were leaving have decided to stay. It was lovely, had all new facilities.
