Does anyone know of any livery yards in Inverclyde in Scotland? Have big problems finding a new home for my mare. Tried driving round and asking, asking my old farrier, searching the net but no success so far! Any help appreciated!

Hello! There is definately one in Inverkip at the Ardgowan Riding Centre http://www.ardgowan-riding.co.uk/ and another at Kelburn Castle and Country Estate which has a riding school and livery facilities http://www.kelburncountrycentre.com/main/riding/index.asp next to the Largs marina.

I live in this area and help out there a couple of days a week at Kelburn. I would go for this one personally if it's local to you. They are pretty filled up right now, but you could call them to check to see if there are any vacant boxes coming available soon. I know there is one box being used for a bit of storage right now, so I don't know if they might make that available to you.

If you visit...go up the long drive entrance to the estate buildings and castle...turn left passed the riding school paddock and stables which is slightly down the hill to the left...and continue on down the narrow road toward the exit and golf course....on the right you'll come to some more buildings and it's left up that little road. You won't be able to see the stables there and paddocks until you pull in and turn in left

Ask for Lindsey as she runs the yard.

Hope this helps!

Sorry.....I'm a dingbat today. I meant to turn right up that little road...really a drive way... once you come toward the golf course and see more buildings which will be on your right. Then turn left into the stables and paddocks area.
