Hi,
This is a very general query about livery yards and the services they offer
I want to find out more about what people would like as part of the different liveries i.e. full, part and DIY versus what they get and what is considered an extra?

Ideas are very welcome, even the ideas about the dream livery service!:p

Many thanks

To me, Full means the following:

Horses should be fed according to how their owner wishes, and ad-lib forage should be provided when in or out on hard standing.

Beds should be kept clean and tidy, regardless of whether the horse is very messy or not: extra bedding should be charged for accordingly.

A regular pattern of turnout should be provided as agreed with owner, who should be informed at once if there are any issues.

Rugs should be checked twice per day at least for slippage or change in temperature etc and changed as needed, and the owner should be informed promptly of any repairs or cleaning needed.

Hooves should be picked out every day, mane and tail detangled if messy, and any injuries or illness should be reported to the owner and to the vet at once.

Exercise should be according to the owner's preference, if it is provided, but I would see that as an extra, the same as holding for the vet or farrier, etc.
