Hi,

I am desperately trying to find a livery yard around the St Albans/Hatfield area and I am not having much luck. If I opened a decent yard round here I would make a fortune I reckon! Every yard seems full up!
Any pointers on which yards to try I would be most grateful!

Thanks

I will check with my old YO, she has a small yard in that area, will report back. What sort/sex of horse are you looking for the yard for. Is it just one horse? DIY or part livery?

hi have checked and she isnt taking on new liveries at the mo. Good yards are always full, Try ******* tho...also Chiltern and Thames rider and saddleries like Tackhaven and GW Titmuss at Wheathampstead who have a noticeboard.

We have vacancies...that's not a bad sign, just things change! We're the other side of Hemel to you though but great facilities!
Let me know what you're looking for etc. if interested..

I was at Elle-Dani Farm in Borehamwood a couple of years ago, we are still in touch and I'm actually now at a friend of hers in the North so that can't be too bad.

2 maneges, indoor school, full set showjumps and she'll take you to shows...

I am on a fantastic yard in Codicote, near Welwyn Garden City, we have vacancies. It is a small yard, currently 14 horses and 5 owners! the staff are all fantastic, very quiet and gentle, all the horses are utterly chilled out, no more than 4 horses share a field, fantastic school. PM me if you need more details

Thank you, that's a bit too far though unfortunately. He's currently in a lovely yard in Flamstead which I don't really want to move from but if I can find a nice DIY yard nearer to home then I am going to go for it so I can spend more time riding and less time driving!

There was a DIY yard that was nice at Symonshyde Farm on Symonshyde Lane which is very near Hatfield. Good hacking and an outdoor manege. But I haven't been there for several years, so don't know what it's like now.

Why don't you pop into titmuss in wheathampstead? They have millions of adverts on their notice board I'm sure there'll be one on there!
