Livery yards between Hemel Hempstead and Luton

Hi all,

I have just been offered a new job in Hemel Hempstead, which means relocating myself and Fox from Nottingham.

I am currently in a total panic about it, in case I cant find anywhere suitable for Fox/me to live. The job is in Hemel, and my boyfriend works in Luton, so I am looking for somewhere between the two areas to settle myself and Fox. I am more fussy about where Fox lives than where I live.

Can anyone recommend some good livery yards for me to consider? They must have decent sized stables, a school, daily turnout (I dont mind if they are in at night though), and hacking. I will also need part/full livery whilst I settle in.

There are quite a few yards in the area you are looking - some cheaper than others, some with more facilities than others = some of them have long waiting lists but it depends on what you want - if you let me know more details, also where abouts are you going to be living then I can sort some info out for you -

full/part or DIY livery
an idea of what you would be prepared to pay per week/month
any thing else that would be a deal breaker

My husband does the Luton to Hemel run every day (and back again!) it takes him 20mins from Stopsley to Junction 8... great now the M1 has been widened
