Does anyone know of any nice DIY yards in Essex. I am currently stabled in Fyfield but, I am not 100% happy staying there due to loosing 2 horses to atypical myopathy a few years back, but have had to go there due to loosing my stable at my previous yard. It would be nice if I could have him stabled near my home in Willingale, but don't think there is any yards in that area with good grazing and an arena. I have my name down on the waiting list for the main yards in Roxwell, and viewed 2 in Newney green but didn't have areans.
He is quite difficult to stable due to his stallion like behaviour towards over people and horses, as he was cut late. He is also lamintic so has to go to a yard that will give him a suitable field, and one on his own.
I would be willing to travel to Norton heath, Blackmore, Ongar, Writtle, Fyfield and local villages to Willingale. Around £120 a month with out hay and straw, or £180/£190 with hay and straw.

Have u looked at littlebury hall in Ongar ? Not sure on pricing but they have an indoor , outdoor and horse walker. Unfortunately good livery in that part of essex is very rare and all the good yards are full. There is also a little DIY yard in Blackmore red rose farm but I think they are full at the moment too could be worth going on there waiting list tho ?

I have looked in to Littlebury but it is to expensive for diy, and have to pay extra for individual turnout as they don't like doing it. Do you know of a phone number for the place in Blackmore? Thanks

Have you tried the Essex Rider or Ingatestone Saddlery board?

Also most of the staff in the saddlery have horses in the area and know the yards - could be worth a go.
