Hi

I am looking for a livery yard in the Greenside, Ryton area. To cut a very long story short. I had grazing aranged for them both. But, Minski has had the vet out for her arthritis, and has had her bute upped, but if she doesn't pick up in 2 weeks, she will have to be put to sleep, she is already nearly blind.

I have had to separate them from the rest of the horses as YO's horse and one of the livery horses, kept attacking her. So mine are in a field that the rest of the horses have already eaten off. The other 3 horses including the YO's and her share pony. Have 4 field which have plenty of grass, and have been rested all winter. But she refuses to let me have a field for my 2 unles they go in with hers, for them to attack her.

So I am paying her £200 a month for my poor old girl who is 29 and I have had 21 years to spend her final days in that field. So, if she does pull through I'm all sorted, if not I'll need a place for Kai, and want to get out of there quickly, as it's terrible seeing them stuck there and the others stuffing them selves.

your situation sounds terrible! hopefully you arent at this yard but maybe look at whittonstall hall livery, its about 15 minutes from there and supoosed to be good! they also have a very helpful website. hope you find somewhere

Hi, I'm not far from you but theres no free satbles at my yard at the mo. Whittonstall hall are good, theres another one next to my yard, possibly called Tongueburn, having a slight blank on that right now. if theres also Hagghill stables in winlaton mill, spenbank stables in high spen, bradley mill in wylam.
Theres quite a few farms around who may be able tooffer you just a field, are you needing stables/livery too?

I'm at Whittonstall Hall Farm and it's defo not the one you're currently at unless I'm blind! Lovely lovely yard, super helpful YO's and people but I think there might be a waiting list atm, but call anyway as Alyson might be able to help you?

HaggHill are lovely too, not sure on the grazing but people great and arena lovely, also try NE riders forum, Barbie on there has the yard at Coalburns Greenside and is lovely too.

A bit further but might do and I think they have space are West Farm in Whickham, owned by a friend, they have a facebook page here:https://www.facebook.com/westfarmlivery.whickham?ref=ts&fref=ts

Mount Huly @ Ovingham/wylam way?

Could also try Westacres at Sunniside, there is also a livery yard at Thornley farm, Rowlands Gill but haven't heard great reports of late, also try Low Brooms @ Leadgate

Some are a bit further out but I know space is tight atm, good luck, shout if you want any more!
