Hi All,

I'm looking for Part Livery in the Harrogate area for one horse. 16.2 TBx ID needs all year round turnout (limited hours in Winter is fine, just as much as poss), a floodlit school and others to hack with. He is fine in traffic but not an easy hack on his own.

Currently on full livery at yard with excellent facilities but it's a 30 min drive away and I would like him closer to home. Previously had him on DIY, miss doing him myself and moved to current yard for facilities but had to be full livery due to driving time.

Since we've moved their YO promised a number of things that haven't happened but thats another story.

Main issue is I want to be in charge of his day to day care and routine but I work full time so need somewhere/one that can help me out with turn outs and brings ins and the occasional day of full livery if that makes sense?!!!!

Any ideas???

Well, I don't know where you are now but there are a few yards around the Harrogate area - Rudfarlington Farm on the wetherby road. There is also one off the wetherby road near to rudfarlington but on the other side of the roundabout. There's Crosper Farm in Spofforth and a fair few in Kirkby Overblow. Sicklinghall Park in Sicklinghall will have nice hacking and they have an indoor school. I am not sure of livery conditions or if there are any spaces either. Ooh there's also another one - Linton Springs livery, that's in Sicklingall too.

Hmm, I think there's loads - there is of course the Yorkshire Riding Centre in Markington as well. I would avoid Harrogate Equestrian Centre though!

Thanks LadyT

I'm out Pateley Bridge way at the moment. I know Sicklinghall well as I learnt to ride at Yvonne Lowthers but think it's a bit too far out. Will certainly see what I can find in Kirkby Overblow. I was thinking of HEC as it is so nearby. Why would you avoid? PM me?
